Nintendo president Satoru Iwata told the Japanese press yesterday that the company currently has 45 Wii games games in development, with some of those wii games scheduled for release this summer. Some of the wii games Include:

Ubisoft’s fangs-out Wii Games action title, Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII, flies Wii Jockeys into a bee's nest of Pacific and Atlantic aerial warfare and it does it with healthy dollups of arcade flair.
Wanna pick off Stukas and Zeros with one shot in this wii game? No problem. Even dad can do it.
Need unlimited bombs? Gotcha covered.
Hungry for maddeningly inconsistent fighter controls? Look no further.
You read it right, Cochise. Ubisoft has done a swell job optimizing the Wii Remote and nunchuk for each plane's flight controls in Blazing Angels Squadrons of WWII, so much so you’ll see why the Devastator, with its ponderous agility and lack of firepower, was “virtually eliminated from Navy inventory by getting shot down during the Battle of Midway”. The Devastator’s controls prove frustrating to the point that you’ll be swearing up and down at the television. Bottom line, there's nothing "blazing" about the Devastator, that's for sure. On the other hand, the Spitfire V is a dream ride in this wii game. Having to complete missions in Blazing Angels Squadrons of WWII with planes that are difficult to fly doesn't make it easy to finish the game...
Forty-six different aircraft, challenging level design, and highly satisfying controls make up for some of the game’s graphic eyesores like the Midway level where escorting a bomber squadron forces you to stare at the sun half the time. Theeeere's a good time.
But at the end of the day I’m hooked on beating the game and I found a lot of fun in the Wii version. Take a gander if you get a chance. The controls really set it apart from other ports for Blazing Angels Squadrons of WWII.

"Plenty of games from the last generation of consoles have been reworked and kicked upwards to the Nintendo Wii, and now Eidos and TT Games are following a similar path by bringing last year's Bionicle Heroes for the Nintendo GameCube and Sony PlayStation 2 (among other platforms) for the Wii. Motion controls that take advantage of the Wii remote will be included in this updated revision, but beyond that players can expect more of the same action found in the previous release."

Like the last few week's releases, this week gamers aren't given much a choice for new entertainment. In fact, this week's release of Bionicle Heroes was actually supposed to happen earlier this month, but had to be pushed back to this week. Better late than never?

“There is no truer, geekier homage than reconstructing an object of desire in Lego form, so we weren’t surprised to find Brickshelf member, “suu” recreating a Wii with Legos. We especially like how the Lego Wii opens up to reveal scenes from Wii sports, although we don’t remember the option of using a gun in Wii Tennis. That could be fun.”

"If you look at how other media forms have tapped into women, for example, you don't see movies and music being exclusive to men. Women enjoy all forms of entertainment. We want to avoid making 'pink games.' Women enjoy many of the same features in gameplay as men do. The way EA sees it is there's a lot of untapped potential out there."
"The Wii levels the playing field. You don't embarrass yourself you can grab it and right away start having fun. Wii games don't require the same investment to learn and to master how to pick up and play."

According to Enterbrain's Famitsu Marketing Data Service (FMDS), in March 2007 Nintendo had the best-selling consoles and games in its homeland of Japan. The Nintendo DS has sold over half a million units each month since April of last year, and last month was no different as the handheld came out on top with 504,000 sold. Japanese gamers picked up another 263,000 Wiis, making the grand total 1,954,000 and virtually guaranteeing the console will pass the two million mark this month. Overall, console sales were up 61.7 percent over March 2006.
Software was a different story, though. Without a huge release like last year's Final Fantasy XII, software sales were down 29.8 percent. Nintendo's Yoshi's Island DS was the best-selling title of the month, and the publisher had 19 titles in the top 50 -- four times as many as any other publisher. Overall sales for the big N were 1,441,721 units, which was about three times as many as the next best-selling publisher, Namce Bandai.
Capcom sold 348,000 units of Monster Hunter Portable 2nd (Monster Hunter Freedom 2), which was 85 percent of the publisher's total sales for the month. That brought Monster Hunter's overall sales to 1,095,000 and made it the first million-selling title for the PSP in Japan. Capcom was the third best-selling publisher during the month.
Wii Play also achieved million-seller status in March, making it the Wii's second million-selling game alongside Wii Sports.
