The Godfather: Blackhand Edition is better than I expected. I have only played this wii game for about 2 hours, but it already exceeded my expectations. The controls are intuitive, Z targeting works, and the graphics are good enough in The Godfather: Blackhand Edition for the Nintendo Wii.

The Godfather: Blackhand Edition is more fun to play hand to hand than with the guns. There are so many different moves you can do in this wii game that it is inredibly satisfying to beat a store owner into submission or destroy his shop to get a piece of the take. My favorite move in The Godfather: Blackhand Edition is the throw-through-window. Awesome!

So far there have been a lot of things I have had to do as far as always having missions, but you can also drive around freely and wander the city. It is quite large in The Godfather: Blackhand Edition and I've only made it into 2 neighborhoods thus far, although I wish that there were more storefronts to walk into for this wii game. A lot of the scenery is drab and underdetailed, but that is a small complaint.

Another cool aspect on The Godfather: Blackhand Edition are the plethora of skill sets you can "buy" with earned skill points, allowing your character to take less heat from the cops, punch stronger, negotiate better, threaten more, etc. You choose the nature of your character in this way and I think it's great.

In all, I would prefer The Godfather: Blackhand Edition for the Nintendo Wii to my PS2 GTA games solely because of the Wii controls and the range of movements you can do with them. The Godfather: Blackhand Edition adds a depth that simply is not there with traditional analog controls, and this wii game is what all third person shooter/action developers need to look to for inspiration in using the Wii controllers to their maximum effectiveness.
